Mirror NS, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, is responsible for operating and managing the only permitted non-recyclable waste processing and landfill site within the Halifax Regional Municipality: the Otter Lake Waste Management Facility.

On behalf of HRM, Mirror NS designed and constructed the 190 acre Otter Lake facility in 11 months. Mirror handles all operations, and will continue to do so under terms of a 25 year contract. As well, Mirror is responsible for the design and construction of all subsequent RDF cells for residual material disposal.
