Sovereign Resources, a subsidiary of the Municipal Group of Companies, owns and operates a quarry on the east side of Rocky Lake Drive in Bedford, Nova Scotia.  Activities at this quarry include:

        .       clearing and grubbing 
        .       stripping and stockpiling of topsoil and overburden 
        .       drilling and blasting 
        .       hauling of blasted rock

Note: there is no crushing at the Sovereign Resources quarry, as all rock is hauled to the adjacent Municipal Enterprises quarry.

Designed to minimize visual and environmental impact, the Sovereign Resources quarry provides for public involvement through a dedicated Community Liaison Committee.
