Maintenance Planner
The Municipal Group of Companies is a large, diversified organization engaged in a variety of industries within the Atlantic Provinces.
We have an immediate need for an energetic, motivated individual to take on the position as Maintenance Planner.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all maintenance planning for various pieces of equipment both in the maintenance shop as well as on remote locations, you will be responsible to enter information into our Computerized Maintenance Management System and ensure its accuracy.
- Develop procedures as required and work to continuously improve Maintenance Planning policies and processes and ensure procedures are followed by all involved parties.
- Supervise and assign work as required to Maintenance personnel as well as Schedulers and Foremen and ensure that all maintenance work is properly planned and scheduled.
- Ensuring that all work is planned to achieve compliance with safety, schedule, and cost objectives and be the primary Maintenance Department authority in these areas.
- Provide input on budget requirements for Maintenance Planning to the Maintenance Manager and provide regular reports on Maintenance Planning activities to the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform regular audits of planned work packages to ensure that quality is maintained, ensuring that planned work order packages are designed to safely operate without impact to employees, the business, the environment, and the community, and provide feedback to schedulers to ensure continuous improvement of the system.
- Contribute to the implementation of new systems/processes and provide guidance, auditing, mentoring and analysis support to the management team.
- Perform Maintenance on-call duties on an assigned basis
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years previous experience in a Maintenance Planning Role
- Red Seal Journeymen Mechanic or equivalent experience.

Excellent communication skills; written and oral
- Computer literate; MS Office Suite intermediate to advanced level (Word, Excel and Outlook)
