Shelburne Shipyard Project Takes Float

For Irving Shipbuilding, Dexter Construction is supplying and installing 4000 tonnes of marine railway foundations in Shelburne, NS. This complex subsea project involves the use of a special circular clam bucket, vibratory hammer, several link belt cranes and flexifloat barges, a supply barge (modified from the old Lehave ferry) and a dedicated diving team. The Shelburne Shipyard is scheduled for completion by late July/early August.
