Cabot Trail Restoration

Beginning at the entrance to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, this project consisted of reconstructing approximately 4km of existing Cabot Trail at Ingonish, complete with:

  • 10,500m3 of excavation
  • 9000m3 of burrow
  • 1347m of pipe
  • 40,300t of gravel

Along with extensive roadwork rehabilitation , we installed a golf cart underpass, 475m2 of T-wall retaining walls, a new water main, signing and lighting, and replaced existing culverts and catch basins.
