Grand Turk Airport

Completed in April 2003 (one month ahead of schedule) this project consisted of reconstructing and paving 2000 metres of runway, complete construction of a new apron, repaving existing apron and twelve streets in the town of Cockburn. The work required mobilization of an asphalt plant, equipment, people and raw material, including 36,000 tonnes of aggregate from Nova Scotia and 2000 tonnes of liquid asphalt from the United States.
